For the past month, the entire metro Denver area was asking the same question: Who is Will? There have been thousands of speculations; including some who guessed exactly who Will is. Today, the answer will be revealed by Mayor John Hickenlooper during a party at the Governor’s Mansion.
Will is indeed Goodwill Industries of Denver, which is celebrating its 90th birthday in Denver this year.
Since 1918, Goodwill Industries of Denver has responded to the social and economic needs of the Denver community. To view Goodwill’s timeline by decade, click here.
So what does all of this have to do with “Will”? The Will campaign was launched to let people know that when you shop, donate or volunteer at Goodwill, you help the organization serve 23,000 at-risk youth and disabled/disadvantaged adults in our community. The Will campaign also created recognition for community support of Goodwill and encourages others to get involved. Without the support of our donors, volunteers, shoppers and agency partners, Goodwill could not have put millions in our community on the path to self sufficiency. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, WILL!
